THE TRANSFORMATION OF 137 YORK STREET

Renovations began in May 2016 ~ We opened our doors on 31 August 2016

It has been a long winter and an amazing journey…



We have not yet finished the external development of the building, but hope to bring it to fruition in the coming year. Below are a few photographs that have captured some of the hard work by the WoodWorks team and local tradespeople. Enjoy!

Grinding concrete to prepare foundation for a new floor.

Removing many barrow loads of sand from al fresco area.

Windows removed, old heavy doors had to go too.

Careful restoration of details involve making replacement joinery for window sills and frames.

The opening to the old kitchen had to be framed and sealed.

Lit and framed alcoves give it an entirely different feel.
